Think Outside The Box

YOU'RE HERE!  TO ACCEPT YOUR MISSION, CLICK ON THE VIDEO BELOW.

Directions:

1.

Start by finding a box.  It can be any shape or size, and made of any material. Have someone take a 'before' picture of you with this plain box, before you start the project.

-Look at your box closely. How is it made?  What material was used to make it?  Feel the shape of it.  Is it strong or squishy?  Smooth or rough. Smell it. Toss it back and forth with a friend.  Hug it. (Yes, really!) Can it be reshaped or will it be too rigid to move around?

-Now, put your box aside for a few minutes until you finish the next step.

2.

Now decide how you'll transform this box.  You can make anything, and it doesn't have to be a building. There are no right or wrong ideas. We want you to stretch your mind in a big, BIG way.  So take your time.

3.

Now get a piece of paper and something to draw with, then create a *blueprint by drawing the shape of your box, and then adding to it to show on paper what your mind is thinking. *(A blueprint is what an architect and other creators use to sketch out their ideas.)

-This may take several or many tries. Being a creator takes practice and determination.  DON'T GIVE UP!

-When you're done and satisfied with the design of your blueprint, start gathering the materials you'll need for decorating and building your creation.

4.

Using those materials you've chosen, start building and adding to your structure.

Keep at it and keep creating until you feel like the ideas in your head are complete or you're satisfied that it's done.
